Question: Are the courses offered recognised by MQA?
Qualification Awarding Bodies
Answer: There are 2 types of higher education institutions in Malaysia. Firstly, MQA-recognised universities, which are what we are familiar with. They can be easily identified by their focus on theoretical knowledge. Since they are regulated by MQA, therefore there are specific entry requirements for these universities. Secondly, skills training centres managed by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran Malaysia (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR). Our college is one of these centres. Vocational training focuses on job-specific skills training, making the classes more interactive. Our courses are specifically designed to offer in-demand skills. Besides that, we focus on our student’s growth holistically. SBIT offers a dual certificate program in two years. Our students can choose either to obtain a certificate issued by a US or local university in addition to a SKM certificate. We also offer part-time study to fit in your work commitments.
