Question: If I find these lenses expensive, can we just use normal glasses and "observe" for a year?
Myopia Control Glasses
Answer: From a clinical standpoint, I strongly advise against "observation." Myopia control is an irreversible race. During a child's growth spurt, once the eye grows longer, it can never shrink back. Delaying for one year could mean an increase of -1.00D, which translates to roughly 0.33mm of axial growth. The cost of that 0.33mm is a lifetime of significantly higher risk for vision-threatening diseases.
